St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Nursing Ministry thanks all who participated in our Blood Drive! The turnout was great and 18 pints of blood were donated!
There will be NO daily Mass this Wednesday or Thursday. There will be NO Adoration this Thursday evening as our clergy are out of town.
We will have First Friday Mass with Adoration and Reconciliation on Friday from 9am -11am.
Calling all middle schoolers to a
one day retreat called EPIC in Richmond, August 9. See below under "Youth and Young Adults" to learn more.

Please join Holy Cross for
our Eucharistic Procession
on the Feast of Corpus Christi, June 22nd 2025
The Eucharistic Procession begins at the end of the 11am Mass with the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in the Monstrance and Father Sal leading the Procession out of the Sanctuary with the recessional hymn and into the streets.
Everyone is welcome! The procession is a 1/2-mile route around the Holy Cross neighborhood. Those unable to walk the route are welcome to join the group praying in the Church. Any questions, please contact

Did you know that Holy Cross parishioners are active at Westminister Canterbury celebrating Mass and praying the Rosary?
Mass is celebrated the second Monday of every month at 4pm in the Weissert Chapel.
The Rosary is prayed every Tuesday at 4pm in the Chapel.
All are invited to come and participate. Dates will be on the Holy Cross calendar each week.

Where: Saint Clare of Assisi Retreat Center, 620 Buckroe Avenue, Hampton, VA
Why : An opportunity for our young men to draw close to the Lord and their brothers while learning more about discernment. Includes Mass, Adoration, Confession, and the Divine Office, opportunities for discipleship, fellowship and evangelization.
Cost: $100 per youth (Scholarships available)

EPIC is a one-day diocesan event for middle school youth (rising grades 6-8) to be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Saint Joseph’s Villa in Richmond, from 11:00am-7:00pm.
This event is intended to be a high-energy day that is focused on two things: (1) building community & friendships with other Catholic middle school youth, and (2) encouraging zeal for our Catholic faith. Throughout the day, youth will experience everything from inflatables to a service project, relay races to Mass.
Keynote sessions will highlight the lives of young saints and emphasize the universal call to holiness – every age, including middle school youth, is called to sainthood! At the end of the day, middle school youth will walk away feeling excited about their community and their faith. Join us, it is going to be EPIC!

2021 Jesse Tree Ministry
Elves Delivered! This past week Jesse Tree gifts, food, and even stockings for the younger children, were distributed to 77 households in our area. Families came from our parish community, as well as those referred to us by Interfaith Outreach Association, Lynchburg Social Services, Miriam’s House and McGurk House.
Thanks: Many thanks to all those who made the 2021 Jesse Tree Ministry a success!
We will resume distributing the monthly bags in the Commons the first weekend in February.

The Sanctuary/Commons Renovation
The carpet installation in the Commons is curently under way. The blue chairs in the sanctuary in the back and to the side of the altar platform will be recovered in stages starting this month.
