Please bring needed food for the Food Pantry and sign up to help with preparing the Easter food bags. These Easter bags will be packed on Saturday, April 12th in the Commons starting at 8:45 am. See below under "Ministries."
The Volunteer Appreciation dinner has been rescheluded fo Friday, April 25th at Oakwood Country Club at 6pm. YOU MUST SIGN UP AGAIN even if you did in January. Please see more information and to sign up HERE and see more below under "Parish News."

Parish Lenten Retreat
The Last Seven Words
Saturday, April 12 from 12noon-3pm in Commons with Norah Jones
Come away to Calvary for three holy hours. We'll hear and reverently explore the last words of our Lord in his own language as we stand with those who remained by him at his Cross. We'll use these precious words in extended prayer and meditation, as Christ most intimately shares with us both his suffering and triumph.
There will be a light lunch provided at 11:30am.

If you would like to donate an Easter Lily in honor of or in remembrance of a loved one, please fill out a form below and place it in the basket in the Commons or mail it to the church office. Forms are also available in the Commons to accompany your donation.

Dr Terry Brennan received her pediatric medical degree from Johns Hopkins University, specializing in developmental pediatrics.
Dr Bob Brennan received his medical degree from UVA with a residency at Johns Hopkins University and an infectious disease fellowship at Duke University.
Both Terry and Bob practice in Lynchburg.

the highly anticipated documentary on the life of the soon-to-be saint, will be released in theaters nationwide for a limited time from April 27–29 at the Regal Cinema at River Ridge Mall.
The release date coincides with Pope Francis' canonization of Carlo Actuis, the Catholic Church's first millennial saint, on April 27.

The Holy Cross St. Paschal's Food Pantry needs your help to sort donated food, pack food bags for families, make treat bags, and other small jobs to serve our community this Lenten season in preparation for Easter.
We have 3 dates with a variety of times.

Youth and Young Adults

The Diocesan Work Camp is a weeklong camp experience for high school youth to serve our brothers and sisters in need by making their homes safer, warmer, and drier while also having the opportunity to grow in our Catholic faith.
Work Camp is not just a youth event. It is an opportunity for parishes to make a difference in the lives of those in need right here in our diocese while encouraging youth to answer their baptismal call to serve others. It is a transformative experience in the life of the adults who assist as well, whether as a volunteer, contractor, or chaperone.

2021 Jesse Tree Ministry
Elves Delivered! This past week Jesse Tree gifts, food, and even stockings for the younger children, were distributed to 77 households in our area. Families came from our parish community, as well as those referred to us by Interfaith Outreach Association, Lynchburg Social Services, Miriam’s House and McGurk House.
Thanks: Many thanks to all those who made the 2021 Jesse Tree Ministry a success!
We will resume distributing the monthly bags in the Commons the first weekend in February.

The Sanctuary/Commons Renovation
The carpet installation in the Commons is curently under way. The blue chairs in the sanctuary in the back and to the side of the altar platform will be recovered in stages starting this month.
