The Lenten schedule is below under "Prayer and Worship." Two mini-retreats: Sunday, March 23, 9:30am - "Our Via Dolorosa" and Saturday, April 12, 12pm-3pm- "The Seven Last Words."
Soup and stations continue this Friday at 6pm. We will pray the Stations of the Cross followed by a simple meal. All are welcome!
Join Holy Cross and view the movie, The Last Supper, playing at the Regal Theatre. We will go as a group on Tuesday, March 18th for the 6:30pm viewing. See more under"Parish News."

The Transfiguration
The Holy Cross Cemetery meeting with the Diocese of Richmond has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 19th at 10am in the Commons. Please come to learn of the transition of ownership.

The Last Seven Words
Saturday, April 12 from 12noon-3pm in Commons with Norah Jones
Come away to Calvary for three holy hours. We'll hear and reverently explore the last words of our Lord in his own language as we stand with those who remained by him at his Cross. We'll use these precious words in extended prayer and meditation, as Christ most intimately shares with us both his suffering and triumph.

The Last Supper
is a new movie depicting the ultimate act of divine love and sacrifice told through the eyes of those who walked alongside Jesus Christ. Mauro Borrelli, a Catholic, is the film’s writer and director and award-winning Christian artist Chris Tomlin was the film’s executive producer.
oin Holy Cross and view the movie, The Last Supper, playing at the Regal Theatre starting Thursday, March 13th through Thursday, March 20. We will go as a parish group on Tuesday, March 18th for the 6:30 viewing. Holy Cross will pay 50% of the ticket.

Profession of Perpetual Vows:
On March 1, 2025, Sister Mary Philomena Anne of Divine Mercy, O.Carm. professed Perpetual Vows with the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm. The Eucharistic liturgy was held at Saint Teresa’s Motherhouse in Germantown, New York. The principal celebrant and homilist was Bishop Gerard Colacicco, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of New York. Joining him at the altar were Reverend Raymond Maher, O.Carm. and Very Reverend Mario Esposito, O.Carm. as the Master of Ceremonies.
Sister Philomena Anne is from Lynchburg, VA where she was born and raised. Her proud parents are Joseph and Denise Schill. Her sister Kelly and brother-in-law, Joe, live in New Milford, NJ with their three young sons and another on the way! Her brother Tony lives in North Carolina.
Sister Philomena entered the Congregation on May 31, 2015 and made her First Profession of Vows on June 9, 2018. She is currently missioned at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor in Columbus, OH. She wrote about her vocation story for the Congregation’s website found HERE.

2021 Jesse Tree Ministry
Elves Delivered! This past week Jesse Tree gifts, food, and even stockings for the younger children, were distributed to 77 households in our area. Families came from our parish community, as well as those referred to us by Interfaith Outreach Association, Lynchburg Social Services, Miriam’s House and McGurk House.
Thanks: Many thanks to all those who made the 2021 Jesse Tree Ministry a success!
We will resume distributing the monthly bags in the Commons the first weekend in February.

The Sanctuary/Commons Renovation
The carpet installation in the Commons is curently under way. The blue chairs in the sanctuary in the back and to the side of the altar platform will be recovered in stages starting this month.
